Spring Happenings in South Florida

Happy April! Spring has finally sprung in South Florida, meaning we’re in the “brace yourself” period right before summer starts. Spring in South Florida is a beautiful thing because that means warm but not too hot temperatures, even more greenery and blooming of flora than any other season, and some pretty fun local festivals and activities. To celebrate the spring season, we’re bringing you our top five picks on which events you should mark your calendars for before the season is over.

1. Flowers & Saketini Class

Where: Ramen Lab in Delray Beach

When: Wednesday, April 13, from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

What: Have you ever been to one of Ramen Lab’s locations in Boca Raton or Delray Beach? If you’re a ramen or Asian food lover and you haven’t, take this as your opportunity to try it! To celebrate spring, the restaurant is teaming up with a local flower pop-up called Moonflower Design to host an intimate event where attendees will create mini floral bouquets, learn to make “saketinis,” or a combination of sake and martini, and enjoy dumplings made by the Ramen Lab chefs! The bouquets you’d be taking home would make wonderful spring additions to your home, perhaps as a dining room centerpiece or as a bright pop in your bedroom.

2.
Spring Fling

Where: Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale

When: Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What: Consider this the ultimate spring family event of the season; at this all-day, FREE event on the day before Easter, families can come out in their brightest, grooviest outfits to partake in special spring and Easter-themed activities, like an egg hunt, morning yoga class, brunch with the Easter bunny, arts and crafts, and so much more! Live music and lots of take-home items will be available, too. This is the perfect event to take the whole family out for a day of fun.
